E.P. Jayarajan is a politician of Kerala. He is a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) political party.
He was the Minister for industries and sports under the Kerala Cabinet led by Pinarayi Vijayan. He was elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly from Mattanur constituency in Kannur district.
E.P Jayarajan became a trending topic in social media after he gave an interview to a TV news channel, in which he paid tribute to the legendary American boxer Muhammad Ali, and described the late boxer as “the pride of Kerala, who had won gold medals for the state in Olympics”.
On 14 October 2016, EP Jayarajan resigned following controversies over the appointment of his relatives as head of key public sector units in the state.
